Did you know cats have their own house in Valencia Did you know cats have their own house in Valencia? It’s designed in a classical Valencian style with a tiled roof and a little fountain.

This house allows the street cats of Valencia to have a rest without all the annoying humans gawking at them.

Sometimes you can see the cats go in and out. I was not so lucky, but regardless it’s pretty cute!

Honestly, I have found the restaurant of my dreams Honestly, I have found the restaurant of my dreams! La Majada Queso in Valencia offers a cheese special where you can try as many cheeses as you want!

I spent a good few hours here stuffing myself with all the cheeses I could stomach. If unlimited cheese isn’t your thing, they also have menu of cheese based dishes you can order.

If you love vintage cars, you need to check out @c If you love vintage cars, you need to check out @crankshaft.cafe in Caoe Town. All the menu items are named after cars so I of course had to purchase the best one: a rolls royce.

Welcome to @forries_sa one of the oldest pubs in C Welcome to @forries_sa one of the oldest pubs in Cape Town! This pub dates back to May 1852. It became an important stop for traveling traders to refuel on food and beer.

If you visit, definitely plan to come on Sunday at 12 for their Sunday roast. It’s the first Sunday roast I’ve had in ages and did not disappoint!

Fun fact: foresters arms has a Guinness world record for selling the most beer on the southern hemisphere, so it’s safe to say this is a pub that many people love and travel from all over the world to visit.

@mzansirestaurant was so much fun! I arrived with @mzansirestaurant was so much fun! I arrived with a huge smile on my face and left with an even bigger smile.

We arrived to a local band playing where we then were taken to a large table before the hostess with the mostest came out to let us know what we would be eating.

We had about 10 different local dishes including chicken, chakalaka, beef stew, unquasho (samp and bean), crispy potatoes, Malva pudding just to name a few.

After we ate, the staff got us up to teach us some traditional dances and songs. We even got to try playing some of the instruments.

Make sure you email them in advance for availability, especially during busy season. They don’t take walk ins. It costs 385 Rand not including drinks.

Cooking classes are one of my favorite activities Cooking classes are one of my favorite activities when I travel. I don’t cook much when I travel because the cleanup is generally not worth it.

I found @faeezashomekitchen when I stopped there on a food tour. I didn’t know this at the time, but @phil.rosenthal went here on his show Somebody feed Phil.

I should have known because I love that show, but anyway I saw that she offered cooking classes so I booked it!

We learned how to make traditional cape Malay food including curry, chili bites, samosas and roti!

I also recommend stopping at her restaurant for lunch if you don’t want to do the cooking classes, but the class was so fun!

The class cost 700 Rand and is cash only, so don’t make my mistake and have it ready. I was frantically looking for an atm.

In 1967 Dr Christiaan Barnard conducted the first In 1967 Dr Christiaan Barnard conducted the first heart transplant at Groote Hospital in Cape Town.

He used the heart of Denise Duvall, a young woman who was tragically killed in a car accident at just 25.

Because of her, a man by the name of Louis Washkansky was saved. His transplant took 8 hours to conduct, but was successful. Unfortunately he only lived 18 days and died from pneumonia.

But Dr Bernard went on to preform many more successful heart transplants and today, he is widely celebrated by medical professionals all over the world.

The Heart of Cape Town Museum is definitely worth a visit and I highly recommend you opt for a tour. They have 3 of them a day and the entrance is 150 Rand. Check their website for tour times!
Since I first heard about @ceresrailcompany I was Since I first heard about @ceresrailcompany I was dying go! Not many people know this, but I LOVE riding old trains. Honestly, old boats AND old trains, so I was in heaven.

This was so much fun! We booked the observatory car which meant we got comfier seats and of course a bar in our car, so needless to say, the wine was flowing!

This is an all day activity. It starts at 8 am until you get back at about 6 pm.

Cape Town has so many different boat trips you can Cape Town has so many different boat trips you can take, but I think sunset is the best time to be on the water, and especially if champagne is involved.

This sunset cruise with @waterfront_charters was so much fun! It started very chill but once we got close to disembarkation the music was blaring and we were all on the dance floor!

2 glasses of champagne were included in the price but some of us *ahem* me had about 5 or 6.

Definitely a perfect way to spend an evening in Cape Town.
