𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦? ⁣

I went for the first time since I was a kid and honestly I think I had more fun than the kids did. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. ⁣
⁣
My absolute favorite activity at the farm was the corn maze. I’ve never done one before and I basically went in circles for the first 15 minutes. I didn’t know my lack of direction skills included corn mazes. ⁣
⁣
I ended up following a bunch of people who looked like they knew where they were going and they did so I eventually made it out. ⁣
⁣
I’m now looking to do a haunted corn maze, so wish me luck! ⁣

Seattle is one of the best coffee cities in the US and we have Starbucks to thank for that! Starbucks originated in Seattle, and if you go to Pike Place Market Starbucks you will find a massive line. I mean, makes sense it's the first Starbucks, right?⁣
⁣
Wrong! The first Starbucks doesn't exist anymore. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the Starbucks at Pike Place is a scam. The original Starbucks was located down the street from Pike Place and burned down. I guess technically the one at Pike Place is the longest standing Starbucks?⁣
⁣
If you do want to get a Starbucks drink in Seattle I recommend skipping Pike Place and heading to The Roastery. It's like the Disneyland of Starbucks and there are only 3 in the world! The one in Seattle has an Italian bakery, a bar serving coffee based cocktails and you can even coffee taste. ⁣
⁣
I suggest visiting earlier and avoiding the afternoon and weekends if you can. It gets super busy and there is limited seating. ⁣

That what I said when I saw this picture. ⁣

Recently, I have been having flashbacks from my childhood. I am not sure why, but bits and pieces of my childhood are coming back to me. I had a great childhood, so maybe it's just me reminiscing on all the good times I have had in my life. ⁣
⁣
Part of me wishes I could go back in time and experience those good times all over again, but I have to remember that there are good things ahead as well. ⁣

Life has been full of unexpected surprises and I I need to focus more on living in the moment rather than focusing on the past & present. ⁣

It's easy to get to from downtown. All you do is take a short ferry ride from pier 56, and once you get to West Seattle, you will be greeted with a great view of downtown and tons of breweries & restaurants. ⁣

You could easily spend all day exploring West Seattle. A few of my favourite places are:⁣

Even if you just go to walk along the water, that in itself is worth it, especially when it's sunny. ⁣

Let me tell you a story about a girl who was born with an illness that wreaked havoc on her body

For the next 18 years she would have to endure hours of hospital visits, surgeries, physical and occupational therapies and migraines that would sometimes last days. She wouldn't be able to learn to ride a bike because of her balance or drive a car because of her spacial recognition issues. ⁣
⁣
As she got older, she started to notice her symptoms more and more. To the point, where things that her peers were doing she couldn't do. It started to take a toll on her health. She lost all hope of ever living a normal life and being independent. ⁣
⁣
One day, her neurologist sent her and her mother to a clinic in Cleveland because he did not think she had epilepsy. Little did they know, that trip to Cleveland clinic would change their lives. ⁣
⁣
After days of tests and bloodwork they were sent home to wait for the results. After about a week they came via a phone call. She was told that she had EA2, a rare neurological condition that affects 1 in 300,000 people. ⁣
⁣
She was relieved but scared. Was it fatal? Will she end up in a wheelchair? What does this mean for her future? There were hundreds of questions running though her head.⁣
⁣
It would be a long road ahead, before she felt comfortable with the fact that she had Ataxia and comfortable enough to talk about it.

Influencers taking perfect pictures in what seems like the perfect life. I don't know if anyone else does this but sometimes I will browse though instagram and come across a picture that looks way too perfect and make up a story about that picture and the person in it.⁣
⁣
Usually in my story, their life isn't as perfect as it's portrayed in the photo. There is always something that goes wrong. It can be quite entertaining sometimes.
⁣
The point of me telling you this is that pictures aren't always as perfect as they seem and I wish we could normalize our imperfections rather than focus on perfection. ⁣
⁣
I for one, am not perfect and I am not going to pretend to be. It's exhausting and frankly, it's just easier being myself rather than someone everyone else wants me to be. ⁣
⁣
I may not build my following as much as other accounts, but those that do follow me and engage are the people that accept me for me - perfect or not. ⁣
⁣
I am going to continue to share my imperfections because let's be real...I am a clumsy potato that literally can’t be perfect even if I tried. ⁣

You may not know from looking at this picture, but that very thing happened to me. ⁣

I actually struggled a lot trying to get a good picture here from tripping on my dress to constantly digging out wedgies it was quite a struggle. ⁣
⁣
I wanted to write a caption on how amazing the Chiluly Garden & Glass museum is, but then I went through my photos of the museum and decided to write about my wedgies instead.⁣

In all seriousness though, Chiluly Garden & Glass museum is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend visiting. ⁣

Well, mainly because it's so freaking expensive to get up there and there are way better views of Seattle than the Space Needle, but as the popular saying goes...⁣

Anyway, whenever I travel somewhere I always like to look up facts about the place & popular landmarks, so here are some facts about the space needle you probably didn't know. ⁣

🛸 The Space Needle officially opened to the public on April 21, 1962 for the Century 21 Exposition, a space age-themed world’s fair.⁣
⁣
🛸 It cost $4.5 million to build the Space Needle in 1962. In 2018, the Century Project renovation cost closer to $100 million.⁣
⁣
🛸 Approximately 1.3 million guests visit the Space Needle per year, and nearly 60 million visitors have visited the tower since it opened in 1962.⁣
⁣
🛸 An April Fools Prank in 1989 convinced the city of Seattle that the Space Needle had fallen.⁣
⁣
🛸 The Space Needle inspired the living quarters of the Jetson Family⁣
⁣
🛸 6 people have parachuted from the tower, but only 4 legally⁣
⁣
